Calorie King July 27, 2010 crazy about movies The book for me is to small of a print even with glasses on. A little to confusing with all the information thrown at you. A lot to process just wish I could look something up and get the basic information. Should have followed others who advised against the book. Oh well!
Easy to pack, somewhat hard to read July 20, 2010 W. Bailey (CLARKESVILLE, GEORGIA, US) I pack this in my "man purse" emergency diabetic bag. It is very handy for those times when you are out and drop in a restaurant you may not be familiar with. There are an abundance of fast food and "nice" restaurant listings. Unfortunately, the pocket size book is difficult for me to read without the magnifying glass I also pack. The print is small and sometimes in various colors. There are a number of books similar to this on the market, and I have a few, but this is the one I stick with. It is comprehensive, but not overwhelming (I have those, too).
Very Good Calorie, Fat and Carbohydrate Counter July 2, 2010 Linda G. Dobler Has just about anything you my want to eat listed with all the info on it.
Great for Diabetics June 22, 2010 Lynne M. Smith (Santa Maria, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was recently diagnosed as Pre-Diabetic. My dietician gave me this book as I need to restrict my Carb intake to 60 carbs per meal. This book has helped me make good, healthy choices and stay within my guidelines for carbs.
A Great Book if You Eat Out June 21, 2010 K. Hudecek (Kansas City) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm one of the few people in the world who don't eat out a lot. However, this book is a fantastic book if you do. It's got calorie, fats and carb counts for many many things including a section dedicated to fast food. I'm wishing I hadn't purchased this book and had gone with Corinne T. Netzer's "The Complete Book of Food Counts". This little book is a little over 300 pages where the Netzer book is over 700 and has an even more detailed account of foods. I have the Fourth Edition. I'm going to update.
