Most amazing book! After being a nurse for 17 years, I thought I was fairly educated. I have learned so
much from reading this book, and it all makes sense! I am in my 50's and thought my aches and pains were
normal. After starting on progesterone cream for about a month now, I can tell a huge difference. This
book is really a God send. I wish everyone would read it and educate their Doctors!!

Hormones and the way they fit our life and body are huge for better understanding, so in that vain I read as much as I can find on the subject. This book was very insightful and excellent source of such information. I did laugh at the idea that estrogen isn't necessary to replace because we never stop making it. Well maybe if you eat cows and drink five glasses of hormone laced milk everyday or genitally modified soy milk. Saying that we don't need estrogen is like saying men only need their penis to pee.

My daughters and I have started BIO-IDENTICAL hormone treamtent under the care of an experienced Medical Clinic and are pleased as well as amazed with results. It is our responsibility to learn everything we can about keeping our bodies healthy and a big key is to maintain good balance within adrenal and hormone levels. If you have a compounding pharmacist in your area, schedule an appointment with them to discuss your health issues or concerns.

The Miracle of Bio-Identical Hormones, 2nd editionThis book contains a lot of empirical information culled from years of working with men and women. If you are looking for the double blind studies you won't find it here because they are very expensive and no drug company, nor apparently the Federal Government, will fund them. The hormones are non-patentable so why would a for profit drug company fund a study from which they can not make patent level profit? I have provided excerpts to health care providers and have given this book to my sister and two daughters because the information contained within it may help with their medical conditions. Hopefully they can find health care providers where they live who will be open minded to learn from their patients and recognize that Medical School did not prepare them well for this topic. While no one book can provide all the information one needs to make informed decisions, this book goes a long way. My major concern is that it focuses so heavily on trans-dermal medication administration and does not even address the sub-lingual administration route from either a reason why they ignore it or to advance the reasons for considering it as an alternative for the trans-dermal route. For the price it is both an easy read, and provided a lot of information to use when working with a medical professional on the issues addressed. The book provides some prescription writing examples which we were able to effectively use in a collaborative way with our health care provider and local compounding pharmacist. I strongly recommend this book for there are areas addressed here which one would not necessarily think of being alleviated by Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement.
