Product Description

Four Steps to Sanity—No Doctors, No Antidepressants, No Fuss

Are you one of the millions of women who feels like there is a giant boulder strapped to your back? You are exhausted but can't sleep. You find absolutely no joy in anything you do or in the people around you. You are forgetful and easily confused. You are overwhelmed, anxious, and emotionally bankrupt. In general, you feel like crap. Your doctor has told you it's all in your head and you feel like you are going insane!

Mia Lundin has heard all of this before and knows exactly how to help. She has treated and cured more than 3,000 women of all ages and stages of life who felt like they were 'losing it,' and who were initially misdiagnosed and prescribed pointless antidepressants or one-size-fits-all HRT by busy doctors. After considering the whole woman and the lifestyle she lives, Mia revealed the culprit in almost all of her cases to be a combination of brain chemistry and hormone imbalance. Never a standardized solution, Female Brain Gone Insane is the first book to tackle the emotional symptoms and issues associated with hormone and brain-chemistry imbalances while giving you the same wisdom, advice, and results that Mia offers her patients through her private practice.

The easiest and most compassionate program you'll ever find, Female Brain Gone Insane will guide you step by step through the scary maze of self-doubt and fear. You will learn how to listen to and identify your own symptoms to get started on your emotional rescue plan and take action toward sanity right now.

5 out of 5 stars Best Book on Female Health   September 8, 2010
Marilyn G.
I LOVE this book! I purchased my own copy after first checking out our library's. I was so impressed and so grateful that they had it, that I emailed the library a thank you. Since then I have purchased 2 copies as gifts and recommended to all the women I know. This is the best book I have read so far on general female health. It's very easy to read and follow. Mia has outlined four steps to help you have better health based on your age and emotional type. It doesn't group all women into just one category! I love the chapters on the adrenal and thyroid. But best of all, she does NOT promote her own products! And of course, it's not just about supplements. But what you eat, exercise, relax, etc. Mia must be a very smart and caring lady. She shares her story as well as some of her patients. I would love to meet her someday and tell her what a difference her book made in my life. Every woman should read this book, and follow her advice.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference   April 9, 2010

My wife has been perimenopausal for the last few months. After reading this book and starting the supplements, (including some progesterone cream), she is feeling better than she has in the last few years. Thank You Mia

Sadly doctors only have time to deal with whatever PART of you relevant to their specialty-and so the mixture of drugs prescribed, the tests unperformed, the mess that is your health seems hopeless. Female Brain Gone Insane is HOPE- to become your own advocate with doctors-based on the info provided. To demand testing, info on drug interactions, to keep fighting for the Balance of chemistry. This book is changing lives from despair to full vital living.

5 out of 5 stars helped me   March 19, 2010
Love to read (United States)

This book really helped me to understand what was going on in my body when I felt so tired and sick during PMS after I weaned my baby. I would really recommend reading it! It explains different scenarios of various women and it's helpful to see that others are having similar symptoms and to read about the biological causes of them. It makes you feel relieved that you can be your normal self again soon. One thing- you might not need to take the risk of hormone therapy in order to get better. I didn't want to, because there is breast cancer in my family. I took Chasteberry (Vitex) three times a day for a few months and then once a day after I felt better. I feel a million times better- it helps your body produce more progesterone. Good luck!

4 out of 5 stars My sister loved it.   March 11, 2010

Bought as a gift for my sister, thinking perhaps it was about a lot of information she already knows, but she said it was extremely interesting and reinforced the psychological AND scientific wisdom of afflicted females.
