Great book to have July 19, 2010 Lisa Braun This book is great to have as a reference for specific times in your life (pregnancy, menopause etc) but it can also be read front to back as more of an educational book.
Don't See The Hype June 25, 2010 Shatzi Crabtree (NC) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've seen other books on women's health just as good and info-filled. Plus those books don't have the word "homophobic" stuck into every other paragraph. The book uses a disgusting photo of a womanfound dead after an old, illegal, butcher shop abortion. I guess it was put in for shock value, since abortion has been legal for a very long time.
The funniest part is the chapter on marriage. The writers obviously detest male-female marriage since that chapter calls it outdated, says it deprives women of property value (?), and has an attitude like, "If you do get married, you know it'll just end in divorce or violence." What made me laugh was the very next chapter, whining and lamenting that gays cannot marry! If it's so outmoded and ends often in divorce, why are you pushing gay marriage so hard? And in a book about health issues?
I'm surprised the book didn't blame ovarian cancer on homophobia.
5 stars, impressed November 30, 2009 Kylee Hallows 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is great. The shipping was super speedy, and the book was in great condition. I love how inofrmative this book is. Anything that a women wants to know about her body, but is too modest to ask is in this book. I am a college student and have used the book for resources on papers. Very informative, and I think everyone should own it.

Every girl should have a copy May 17, 2009 Lori Holden (Santa Rosa, CA) I would recommend that every parent get a copy of this book for their daughter. Take the fear out of menustration and sexual development by putting the knowledge in her hands early.
